CSS Animations on Top10.com

As you may be aware I work at Top10.com, and last week we offiĀcialĀly moved the site out of beta and released a new design and some revised interĀacĀtions. We decidĀed that we wantĀed to make the most of the capaĀbilĀiĀties of modĀern browsers, and one of the main ways we did that was with CSS.

As the bulk of our audiĀence use modĀern browsers we were able to use genĀerĀatĀed conĀtent, web fonts, graĀdiĀents, tranĀsiĀtions and aniĀmaĀtions to give an enhanced expeĀriĀence for them. You can read more about the front-end build on the Top10 blog, and although Iā€™d be hapĀpy to talk through all of it, in this post Iā€™m going to focus on our use of CSS animations.

Aside

Iā€™ve updatĀed my SpeakĀing page to include more conĀferĀences, more videos, and a litĀtle on my speakĀing requireĀments and prefĀerĀences. Iā€™m planĀning to cut down on the numĀber of talks I give in 2014 (twelve is too many), but am always open to interĀestĀing offers and opporĀtuĀniĀties, so please get in touch if youā€™re organĀisĀing an event.
