Web Directions @media 2010

UsuĀalĀly when I attend @media (that is, on two preĀviĀous occaĀsions) I write a folĀlow-up blog post on what I saw there. Well I attendĀed this year, and Iā€™ve writĀten the post, but itā€™s on the blog of my employĀer, PreĀloaded: HTML5, Mobile, and UCD: what we saw at @media.

What I saw at @media 2008

As is cusĀtomĀary (or as cusĀtomĀary as ā€˜twiceā€™ can be), here is a quick round-up of the sesĀsions I attendĀed at @media this year, with links to slides where availĀable (which, as I type this, is pretĀty much unavailable).

London Web Week flying update

I intendĀed to write about the WSG meetĀing and the first day of @media, but drinkĀing socialĀisĀing netĀworkĀing has occuĀpied my spare time. Still, I got to hear some salaĀcious gosĀsip about well-known charĀacĀters in the web comĀmuĀniĀty, so it was worth it for that alone.

Some interĀestĀing stuff about HTML 5 to disĀcuss shortly.

What I saw at @media 2007

So @media 2007 is over and, after a litĀtle breather, hereā€™s a short breakĀdown of what I saw, in chronoĀlogĀiĀcal order, along with links to preĀsenĀtaĀtions where possible.

There were lots of great, inspirĀing ideas, which should spin out into a few more posts in the near future.

Aside

Iā€™ve updatĀed my SpeakĀing page to include more conĀferĀences, more videos, and a litĀtle on my speakĀing requireĀments and prefĀerĀences. Iā€™m planĀning to cut down on the numĀber of talks I give in 2014 (twelve is too many), but am always open to interĀestĀing offers and opporĀtuĀniĀties, so please get in touch if youā€™re organĀisĀing an event.
